Bulk Select MP3s and Export List with MetaData

Use this Handy FREE Automator tool for Mac (only) that lets you select a bunch of Mp3s that have the Key and BPM in the title, to get a list you can copy and paste into ChatGPT to quickly build you a set.

Designed for DJ's that ideally use Mixed in Key to put the Key and BPM info in the file name, or have put the Key and BPM in.

It simply extracts this data from the name and put's everything into a nice table for you.

How to use

1. Step 1. Download Zip
2. Step 2. Install
3. Step 3. Select Songs in Finder
4. Step 4. Click the Actions Icon
5. Step 5. Select Mp3 to CSV
6. Step 6. Save as CSV and upload to ChatGPT/Your AI with the prompt below.

GPT Prompt

I have a CSV file of songs that includes metadata such as Artist, Title, Key (standard and Camelot), and BPM. I want you to act as a DJ and curated playlist expert to create a highly playable, flowing set.

Please generate a playlist with 10–15 songs, based on the following rules:

Rules for the Playlist:

1. No two songs by the same artist should play back-to-back and no more than 3 from the same artist in any Playlist.
2. The transition between BPMs must be smooth: >No more than 10 BPM difference between any two consecutive tracks.
3. The playlist should be ordered for smooth key and BPM transitions — ideally moving through compatible Camelot keys.
4. Favor a flow that works well for DJ mixing
5. Output the playlist in a clean table with the following columns:
   • Artist, Title, Key, BPM

As you can see it gets the BMP and Key from the last 2 items after the hypes as per mixed in key renaming conventions. Tracks with out this will be skipped.
